Handcrafted wooden sleigh, originating from Austria and Germany, dating to the period of 1880-1900. The sleigh exhibits considerable artistry and craftsmanship, featuring floral and foliate motif carvings on the wooden elements, particularly visible on the rear of the main seat body.

The front of the sleigh is highly distinctive, featuring a carved woman figurehead seated prominently, flanked by two hounds.

The main body of the sleigh is supported by robust wooden runners over which are fixed ornate iron runners. The main body is secured to the base by decorative iron supports that feature scrolled elements.

A significant feature is the sleigh's original decoration: All visible wooden surfaces of the sleigh are exquisitely hand-painted, primarily in tones of blue, yellow/gold, and white/cream.

The sleigh shows clear signs of its age and history, including traces of wear and cracks in the thick wooden structure and painted surfaces, as well as rust on the iron runners and cast iron supports.
